YWCA Stepping Stones’ 24/7 Sexual Violence Crisis Hotline relies on compassionate, trained volunteers to respond in moments of crisis with care and clarity.
As a volunteer advocate, you help survivors feel safe, heard, and empowered—while playing a vital role in the broader movement to end sexual violence.
Help keep our campus welcoming and safe by maintaining outdoor spaces. This may include tasks like weeding, trimming bushes, planting flowers, raking leaves, picking up litter, or refreshing mulch.
Share your expertise to help participants in our career development programs build confidence and achieve their professional goals. Examples include leading a workshop on resume writing, offering mock interviews, teaching computer skills, guiding financial literacy sessions, or sharing insights from your own career journey.
Brighten and protect our spaces by assisting with painting projects. This could involve painting walls in classrooms or offices, touching up trim, refreshing playground equipment, or applying protective coatings to outdoor structures.
Support our youngest learners in a nurturing, play-based environment. Tasks may include reading stories, assisting with art projects, setting up learning centers, or helping with safe playtime.
A background check and fingerprints are required of all volunteers working with children.
Engage with school-age children in fun and enriching activities. You might help with homework, lead a game, guide a craft project, or support group activities during after-school or summer programs.
