Retired & Senior Volunteer Program
MAKE GIVING BACK YOUR SECOND ACT
We believe that age is no barrier to making a difference.
YWCA Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), sponsored by AmeriCorps Seniors and facilitated by YWCA McLean County, helps those age 55 and older put their skills and life experiences to work for their community by facilitating volunteering through carefully matched placement and follow-up support.
RSVP Volunteers saved our community
$1,782,805
in wages last year.

Focus Areas
Access to Care
Volunteers help local non-profit social services agencies deliver critical care to at-risk members in our community. Volunteers are a vital part of helping these agencies continue to do work at a time of population growth and staffing shortages in our community. Some examples of the type of work volunteers contribute are providing transportation to and from medical appointments, clerical and administrative duties.
Healthy Futures
RSVP volunteers play an important role in fighting hunger in our community. Through partnerships with local food banks, they help coordinate donations, organize inventory, and assist with food distributions to ensure individuals and families have access to the resources they need.
Veterans & Military Families
Our goal is to identify and help local veteran and military families with access to food and nutrition. We plan to assist local agencies that reach out to veterans and active military in our community.
