As we kick off the new year, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your continued support. The past year has been filled with challenges and triumphs but, with your help, we were able to directly serve 11,753 McLean County residents.

I am confident that, with your continued support, we will continue to make a positive impact and drive meaningful change in our community and beyond. Thank you again for your dedication, and we look forward to an exciting and successful year ahead.

Become an advocate for survivors of sexual assault. 

Be there for someone in crisis, either directly or indirectly, by providing support as a volunteer through McLean County’s sexual assault program, YWCA Stepping Stones.

The 40-hour volunteer training covers types of sexual violence, rape trauma syndrome, crisis intervention techniques, listening/communication skills, medical and legal advocacy, the psychology of sexual violence and information about community partners providing different levels of assistance to survivors. Confidentiality is required.

A Season of Giving
The end of the year was filled with generosity! We are incredibly grateful for our community partners who show up for our clients time and time again. 

Holiday Helpers
We are so grateful to ISU Center for Civic Engagement for their generous donation of Christmas gifts to 85 children in our Young Wonders program. Your kindness and generosity have brought joy and happiness to so many families this holiday season. Thank you for helping to make a difference in your community and for supporting YWCA clients.
 
Partnering with a Good Fellow
We are so thankful to be able to partner with The Pantagraph Goodfellow Fund to provide some extra holiday cheer to our clients. The Fund chose YWCA as this year's partner and recipient of $2,500 in gift cards. Cards were distributed to Stepping Stones clients and Young Wonders families. 

The Gift of Literacy
Alicia Wheeler's Book Boutique hosted a drive to benefit YWCA McLean County and was able to donate over $1,000 worth of Usborne Books to our Young Wonders programs!

Kiwanis Pancake Day
Kiwanis Club of Bloomington is on a mission to support children in our community and has been a long standing partner of YWCA McLean County. Their longest running fundraiser, Pancake Day, will take place on 02/25/23 at the BCPA and is a wonderful opportunity to support their mission. Tickets are just $8 for a limited time and are available at the YWCA McLean County lower-level front desk. Children under 12 are free.
