JOB TITLE: Director of Early Learning
DEPARTMENT: Young Wonders Childcare
SALARY: $45,000 - $52,000 per year (Exempt)
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Early Learning Director plays a key role in overseeing the planning, development, and evaluation of programs at the YWCA Young Wonders Early Learning Center. This position involves supervising and mentoring staff, fostering open and effective communication with families, and cultivating strong partnerships with community agencies and educational organizations to ensure the success and growth of the center's initiatives. The role’s responsibilities may evolve based on organizational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS

DCFS Director-Qualified required

Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development, Elementary Education, or a related field preferred

At least 2 years of experience in child care or teaching preferred

Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience required

Familiarity with school-age quality standards preferred Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus

WORK HOURS
Monday to Friday, between the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., evenings and weekends as needed.
JOB TITLE: Prevention Educator
DEPARTMENT: Stepping Stones Sexual Violence Crisis Center
SALARY: $43,900 per year (Exempt)
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Stepping Stones Prevention Educator position will engage with diverse populations to deliver prevention and education programs in schools, businesses, and local agencies. Responsibilities include teaching established curricula, adapting or designing presentations as needed, and reaching out to new audiences. Educators will also provide direct support services for sexual assault victims when necessary. Additionally, this role will collaborate with community institutions to foster coalition building.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Services, Psychology, or related field preferred

Experience in public speaking and effective presentation required

Ability to engage positively with children, teens, adults, elders, and individuals with disabilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

Proficiency in English required; bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Completion of 40-hour Crisis Intervention Training for Sexual Assault as mandated by ICASA

Completion of Confidentiality Counts training required by ICASA

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Word) required

Maintain professionalism, communication, and confidentiality with survivors, students, volunteers, and the public

Self-starter with the ability to work independently

Experience in developing and conducting training preferred
