YWCA McLean County Young Wonders provides a wide range of child care programs to meet the needs of busy parents in our community.

Part- and Full-Time Child Care
Year-round, part- and full-time childcare is provided at YWCA on 1201 North Hershey Road, Bloomington.

YWCA Young Wonders part- and full-time childcare designs activities to nurture children’s intellectual, social, and emotional development. Children learn through play activities and centers, using The Creative Curriculum®. All programs are licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. All ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds are welcome.

Age: 6 weeks - pre-Kindergarten

Hours: 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. Coverage is provided all year except for YWCA holidays.

Cost includes lunch and two snacks per day. Other terms and conditions may apply.


YWCA offers a 10 percent discount to the following organizations/groups:
  • Any military branch (active duty or retired receives 15%)

  • State Farm
  • OSF HealthCare
  • Westminster Village

To receive the discount, the qualified member must live in the household with the child, identification will be required at registration.

The Child Care Resource and Referral Network administers the Department of Human Services Child Care Assistance Program. The child care assistance program serves all working families with incomes that meet the income guidelines and/or that are in an approved education or training program. Families can get help paying for child care services if a child (children) is under age 13.
