Support Groups
FREE AND CONFIDENTIAL SERVICES for survivors of sexual assault and their supporters
Join YWCA Stepping Stones staff as they lead structured, educational support groups for various groups of survivors of sexual assault and their loved ones. The support groups will meet once a week. Dates, times, and locations will be given after pre-registration with YWCA Stepping Stones. All groups are free, confidential, and private.

AID FOR HEALING SUPPORT GROUP
Join YWCA Stepping Stones staff as they lead an educational support group for survivors of sexual assault with Autism or intellectual disabilities. The support group will meet to gain a greater understanding of sexual assault, its causes, and its impact. The group will create a safe space to voice grievances, ask questions, and form long-lasting and supportive relationships.
COLLEGE-AGE SURVIVOR SUPPORT GROUP
Open to college students ages 18 and over. The goal is to bring awareness to sexual violence in all its forms and the impact of rape trauma syndrome. This group will create a safe space to voice grievances, form long-lasting relationships, and a support system.
GROUNDS FOR HOPE SUPPORT GROUP
Open to women and women-identifying survivors over the age of 18. This support group is ongoing and meets weekly on Friday mornings. The group will focus on empowerment and the second set will focus on trauma recovery. For survivors of sexual assault and their supporters
LGBTQIA+ SUPPORT GROUP
Best suited for ages 18 and over. This group will bring awareness to sexual violence in the LGBTQIA+ community, teach about the different forms of sexual assault/violence, and the impact of rape trauma syndrome. This group will create a safe space to voice grievances, form long-lasting relationships, and create support systems.
MALE SURVIVOR SUPPORT GROUP
Open to men and men-identifying over the age of 18. This group will promote awareness and minimize the stigma attached to sexual assault in the male community, will teach about rape trauma, healthy relationships, being an ally, and your role in the community and advocacy.
TEEN SUPPORT GROUP
Open to ages 13-17. This group will bring awareness to sexual violence and it’s different forms, the impact of rape trauma syndrome, create a safe space to voice grievances, form long-lasting relationships, and a support system.
