YWCA McLean County is honored to be a recipient of the Healing Illinois grant, a racial healing initiative of the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) and the Field Foundation of Illinois. Designed to foster dialogue and confront the systems that drive racial disparities, Healing Illinois provides the foundation for communities to come together and begin—or continue—the essential work of racial healing.
At YWCA McLean County, we recognize that acknowledging past harms and dismantling oppressive structures are necessary steps toward achieving equity. Through our upcoming educational sessions, we aim to offer space for reflection, learning, and collective action that moves us toward lasting change. Below, you will find detailed descriptions of each session, along with registration links. We invite you to join us on this journey as we foster community healing and build a more equitable future for everyone.
