Prevention and Empowerment

Girls BE U
Girls: Building Empowerment and Uniqueness (Girls BE U) is an empowerment group offered to McLean County junior high and high school girls which allows them to explore their own unique and positive qualities through an open and creative curriculum. 

Peace Camp
Peace Camp helps participants identify and establish leadership skills by demonstrating the importance of teamwork as well as the distribution of power and responsibility.

Stepping Stones
YWCA McLean County's sexual assault program provides 24-hour assistance for sexual assault and sexual abuse victims and their families in McLean County. This free, confidential service also serves as the central sexual assault resource for McLean County. Services include 24-hour hotline, medical and legal advocacy, counseling, prevention education, and volunteer advocacy training. 

Transition Camp is a week long program to help ease students in their transition to junior high. Students learn about self care, social skills, leadership skills, and coping skills, along with an anti-bullying curriculum.
